How to Use a Laser Bong
Using a laser bong isn’t much different from any other water pipe. In the box, you’ll find:
- The device itself
- A charger
- A poker
- A silicone hose
The first step is to make sure the device is fully charged. Next, it’s time to load up the chamber and water reservoir.
Filling the Chamber with Herb
Hitoki’s laser bongs only hold a small amount of herbs. The ceramic chamber unscrews from the base, which makes it easy to fill.
But it can be a tedious process.
You’ll need to grind your herbs very finely and take care not to overpack the chamber. It can easily become a process of grinding, filling, packing and repeating. The laser itself will combust a small area, so you may need to stir things up.
Loading the Water
To load the reservoir with water, start by unscrewing the acrylic base. Once the base is detached, you can add a small amount of water, which will help cool the vapor and smoke.
Hitoki’s instruction manual says to fill the reservoir to the fill line. The line isn’t easy to see, and this is one drawback of this unit. But generally, you only need a small amount of water with this unit. If you’re used to using a regular bong, you may be tempted to fill the reservoir up. But it’s important to resist this temptation and only fill it up to the fill line.
Make sure the reservoir is screwed on tightly and properly secured before you move on to the next step.
Smoking
The Trident is super simple to operate. It has just one button at the top of the device. Pressing the button five times will turn the unit on or off.
The power button will glow either red, green or blue, depending on the temperature settings you want. To cycle through these settings, just press the button three times. Blue is the hottest temperature and red is the lowest.
To fire up the laser, either:
- Hold the power button, or
- Tap the button twice
Before you fire up the laser, double-check to make sure that the unit is properly closed. The laser can damage your eyes or skin if you’re not using it properly. Yes, there’s a shield for protection, but that won’t help you if you’re not using the unit as intended.
Once everything is packed up and ready to go, all that’s left to do is tap the button twice. The laser will fire up and combust your herbs instantly.
